Nursing Info Session

On Tuesday I had my first Nursing School meeting :) We went over a lot of information, found out all the fees that go along with being in the program & signed a paper so they could sign us up for classes!! We do not get to pick our own class times they randomly assign us times, so hopefully my schedule isn't horrible. (who am I kidding regardless of my schedule I am so excited to get started) We also got uniform information, we have to wear white tops w/ logo & green pants with white shoes (plain leather) & long white socks!! At the meeting I sat at a table with 7 other women, I thought it was interesting we all had similar stories of our wait to get into Nursing School-- it's good to know you are not alone! I did notice that most of the other students were older. There were a total of 90 students which included a handful of men & a lot of older women! All the women at my table had children (one had 6 & another had 5)!! I couldn't imagine going to school & taking care of a family, KUDOS to them!! I think it is great they are going back to get their RNs. I can't wait to have mine & I can't wait to begin my other dreams!! I will probably be in school for-EV-ER... can you be a lifetime student? lol I should graduate December of 2012 with my RN (Associates Degree)!!!!! After that I plan on working & going back to get my bachelor's degree so I can then go on to get my MASTERS!!

In August the journey begins =)

p.s. I won't be riding the bus when I go back to school just liked the picture lol

HAPPY THURSDAY!!!!!!!

  1. Yea for you! I would love to go back to school and get a nursing degree -- I would be one of those old gals! My husband works for a hospital system and nursing school tuition benefits are one of his perks (the hospital has its own school). I keep joking that when my daughter is old enough (I homeschool her now so it's not possible at the moment) we will go together! Good luck to you!

  2. Barbara - What great benefits your husband has, you should definitely go back to nursing school!! I understand why you would want to finish homeschooling your daughter & it would be so great to go to school together. You sound like a great mother! Good luck on your journey & hope you pursue your dreams!
