Family, Friends & Food =)

I really love having time off on the weekends & again I had a great weekend!! I love relaxing, sleeping in & making plans with family & friends. Unfortunately Ryan & I normally do not have weekends off together. I wish we could both be on the same schedule but for right now that is not possible.

Friday we had plans with Ryan's Grandma Rose & Grandpa Harold to go to dinner. They were coming in town to see Diana's (Ryan's stepmom) ceramic pieces @ Brickyard Ceramics & Craft Gallery. The Brickyard closed at 4 so I knew I wouldn't be able to go but they offered to take us to dinner after! ::Side note: Last Wednesday we received a text introducing Grandma & Grandpa May's new puppy, Luigi! He is an 11 week old bichon & so cute!!:: The Mays brought Luigi along & he was at our apartment when I got home from work. I was so excited to meet him & if you know me, you know I love puppies!! Luigi would run around, sleep, run around & sleep! He loved jumping & tried to be a dare devil a couple times jumping out of my arms! After looking at the Gallery Ryan, Grandma & Grandpa came back to our apartment we had a couple cocktails & played a couple card games-which by the way Harold & I won or for a better word DOMINATED :) After the card games we went to dinner at Bravo, we had a great meal! After dinner Harold & Rose went home & we went to Bella Vita to have a couple drinks outside with Katelyn, her hubby Ryan & a couple of their friends. Friday night was such a great night to sit outside & enjoy the weather.

Saturday I went to the Children's Museum with Glen & Diana (Ryan's Dad & Stepmom) & Diana's mom Pat to see an exhibit that Loren (Ryan's step sister) helped to research & did dive digs in the Dominican Republic. Her Professor (Beeker) found Captain Kidd's ship that has been under water for 300 years. We listened to the Professor for around an hour & then looked at the exhibit! It was so interesting & I wish Ryan could have been there because he loves pirates!! I had not been to the Children's Museum for years & it so fun seeing all the exhibits as an adult. After the museum we went back to our apartment relaxed & played a card game while we waited on Taylor (Ryan's step brother) to get off work. For dinner Diana decided on Traders Point Creamery! Working in Zionsville I have heard so much about this restaurant/creamery but never tried it. I'm sure most of you have seen their milk in stores & it is delicious! Traders Point is an organic dairy farm & their food was amazing! All I heard the whole meal was everyone complimenting everything they were eating! I had the Chef's Cut -a ribeye & it was so tender & yummy!!! All of us also had dessert & they have the best desserts ever! Ryan had a chocolate milk shake made with chocolate milk & I had a chocolate torte! Their ice creams were so creamy, if you are every in Zionsville or by the Northwest side of Indy you should definitely stop by & at least have dessert! After dinner Taylor came back to our house & a couple of his friends joined us, we played some drinking games & hung out the whole night.

Glass exhibit- the colors were so pretty!!

Loren & I with the PIRATES!!!!

Loren & Professor Beeker's life size picture on the wall in the museum! They were all proud to rep IU... but me... not so much lol

Sunday we woke up wanting to have SUNDAY-FUNDAY!! We relaxed by the pool all day & Amber even joined us! Unfortunately we were outside to long because Taylor & I are now FRIED to a crisp & it is painful! After being outside for way to long we went to dinner at La Piedad in Broad Ripple. My sister Amber recommended it & she was right, it was great! I saw all these people walking around with ice cream cones & I couldn't resist finding where they were coming from. We followed our noses to the Broad Ripple Ice Cream Station (BRICS) & I had a waffle cone with cotton candy & butler pecan!

Look at Taylor's tan lines from one day!! haha

This weekend was filled with lots of family, friends & food! My favorite F's :)

Hope you all had a great weekend!! xo
