Happy 50th Birthday Diana

On Saturday Ryan & I went to Lafayette to celebrate his stepmom, Diana's 50th Birthday!! Ryan's dad put together a great party-We went to Bruno's for dinner & drinks! I love Bruno's food especially their bruno dough, it is delicious! I love hanging out with Ryan's family, they all are so welcoming & fun to be around. They are always ready to play a card game or hang out & play yard games.

EASTER Sunday

Easter was a great day for me except that Ryan & Amber both working!! I was really bummed that they weren't able to come with me! I started my morning by going to surprise Amber with an Easter basket & donuts for her work. I think she was really surprised & I hope she enjoyed the pretty pink basket! Then I went to Delphi, IN to hang out with my dad's side of the family. We had a small gathering & it was fun to see all of my cousins hunt for Easter eggs. Since I was so close to my other grandparents (they live in Monticello,IN approx 10 minutes away) I made a surprise visit to them!! I didn't stay long but it was great seeing them as well. After visiting with my side of the family I went over to Ryan's Aunt Lisa's house to visit with his side of the family! Ryan & I just saw his side of the family on Saturday night for his step-mom, Diana's 50th b-day (pictures to come next post) so I got to see them 2 days in a row... which hasn't happened in forever since we have lived in Indy. I really had a great day & I loved seeing family!!

1 month from today

1 month today is my 25th Birthday (& of course Amber's Birthday TOO) that's exciting enough but my birthday also falls on our (Ryan & I) anniversary we have been together 9 years this year :) June 20 is our actual wedding anniversary but it hard to pass this day up & not celebrate 9 great years together. I guess eventually we will just celebrate our wedding anniversary but since we've only been married almost 2 years I still want to celebrate both dates!! I love that I get to share MY birthday with my two favorite people --> Ryan & Amber
I have blogged about Amber before but I don't think people really understand how much she means to me. It's really hard to put our connection into words, we have been through it all together. I know we have had rough times but we have also had very good times! I am so blessed to have such a great relationship with my sister & I know that through time we are going to continue to grow as women & twin sisters. I cant wait to see how we are when we are old & have gray hair! p.s. I probably wont have gray hair just Amber lol

Ryan & I have been dating since our sophomore year of high school we have really grown up together. I love Ryan's family just like I love my own & we all have such a unique relationship because we have been around each other for a long time! Ryan is someone I can always count on, he is kind & so fun to be around. Ryan has grown into a great man & I love that I have been able to see him grow. Currently we are enjoying our time together as a couple but we both look forward to having a family & living a lifetime together!

Weekend Recap

Here are some pictures from last weekend :) Ryan & I had a great weekend. Ryan has been working a lot of daytime shifts because he is training in the kitchen. Last Thursday we had a great dinner w/ Jamie & Matt. We have been trying to get together forever & it just so happened we all had the same night off. Matt made chicken tacos with this delicious yellow rice (that I still need to find @ a store so I can make it) & Jamie made wonderful margaritas!! On Saturday we went to a couples wedding shower for Taylor & Kyle that Katelyn had @ her house, it was a lot of fun. Katelyn is such a good host, they had great food & fun games! Then Sunday we went to dinner with my aunt Angie, her bf Mark, my grandma & her bf Kenny. We went to this Greek restaurant Santorini & it was great!!!!! If you are every near Fountain Square you should really try it out!! It was fun seeing everyone & I love hanging out with family outside of holidays.

Boring Day

Today has been such a strange day @ work.

We have 2 doctors in our office & one was out last week on vacation. Normally the day (sometimes the first couple days) after the doctor returns we are CRAZY BUSY!!!

TODAY is nothing like that ... it is soooo quiet & I am bored!

Ryan's New Job *Update*

2 weeks ago Ryan started a new job @ Applebee's. He is an assistant manager (in training), he will train for 8 weeks & then he will be placed at a store. He doesn't know what location he will end up in & all they have told him so far is it will be with in a 30 minute drive. --- That could be anywhere! There are 3 different Applebee's with in a 10 minute drive but I told him with his luck he will end up @ Speedway or somewhere 30 minutes away!

He had his week review with his manager & they said he is doing a great job (YEAA RYAN) & he is learning a lot, especially about their bar. Ryan has said multiple times that he already likes this job WAY better! I am so happy for him & I think his quality of life is so much better now that he doesn't have to wake up at 4:30 in the morning!

On Ryan's second day of employment at Applebee's they had their annual awards banquet @ the Colts practice complex. The banquet was for all of their managers (The whole state of Indiana) & they had a catered meal, free drinks & casino night w/ lots of fun games. We had a lot of fun & met a lot of people. I loved how open & inviting the company was to Ryan & I. When we first walked in a couple of the head guys came up & talked to us for a while. I was impressed that they remembered Ryan & were interested in us. At the end of the night I was driving home & Ryan said "I love Applebee's" haha I was dying laughing... It was his second day & he was in love because they gave him free booze! At least after 2 weeks he still feels the same way with out all the free drinks!

LOOK HOW CUTE THEY ARE :) This is the group that brought the casino games. They are the Sertoma Club from Broad Ripple & these old gentlemen were a lot of fun! They were all so nice! They raise money to then give it away. It is a great group & if you ever need to host a casino night you should definitely consider them!
