Katelyn gave me this straw glasses thingy & I knew Grandma Rose would love it. We have always talked about making something that has a belt w/ a box of wine attached & a straw like this attached so she could have her box wine lol . She loved it!! She loves box wine as much as I love Margaritas!

Jet skiing in the Gulf. We rented wave runner for 1 hour & it was a blast. My jet ski was the slowest & Ryan got a brand new (that day) jet ski... of course

Dinner the last night! We went to Harold Seltzers & it was a great dinner.

Everywhere in Florida has happy hour, where you get 2 drinks for one. I loved it!! I wish Indiana would have this!

While we were on vacation our friends Roxanne & Jake had their baby, Nora Sue! I am so happy for the two of them & can't wait to meet her. You should definitely go to her page & look at the adorable pictures of Nora!!!

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

St. Paddy's Day is one of Ryan's favorite holidays! He is very extreme when it comes to drinking green drinks & wearing green! It is pretty hilarious being around him on this day! He puts food coloring in every ones drink (even if they do not want it) & is so cheerful!!

VACA =) FUN IN THE SUN!!!

WATCH OUT FLORIDA :) HERE WE COME!!!

Tonight while we are driving to Florida the BOILERS will be playing there first game in the big10 tournament!! Since we wont have a tv to watch, I'm sure I'll be refreshing the basketball app on my phone MANY TIMES!! ! GO PURDUE!!

RYAN accepted a new job position!! :)

Ryan accepted a job at Applebee's =) He starts when we get back from Florida at the end of this month. Here are the + and - about his new job

positives:

• More money ...no need to explain lol $$$$
• He will actually get bonuses!! Le Peep promised him bonuses when he was hired & so far he has made $90 one time! One of Ryan's old coworkers works for Applebee's now & he said they make great bonuses! Yeaaa :)
• Different hours. He will work 5 days a week. His shifts will rotate. At Le Peep he works 5am- when ever they closed. Now he will work mornings & nights! I think this will be great because now he doesn't have to be in bed around 9pm!
• Ryan will gain bar experience. He wants to eventually open his own restaurant/bar so it will be great experience

negatives:

• He doesn't know what location he is going to be placed at. All they say is it is with in a 30 minute drive
• Now he is home every night & almost every night we have dinner together. It will hard adjusting to not having him home!
  

All the negatives aren't really that negative & can be definitely worked around! I know this will be an adjustment but we are ready for it :) I AM SOOOO EXCITED FOR HIM! I hope this job helps him grow & develop into a better manager/business person.

p.s. I posted this blog a month ago but because Ryan had not put in his 2 week notice yet I took down the blog- now is a great time to put it back up since his last day @ Le Peep is tomorrow!

Weekend Recap

This last weekend was exactly what I needed :)
I didn't do much of anything & loved it!

Usually on the weekends I go out to the bars w/ friends at least one night --which makes me feel like a complete waste of space the next day. I'm not saying I'm getting old lol but it just takes me longer to recover from drinking & staying up until 4am than it did a couple years ago!! I didn't go out this whole weekend & I now feel so refreshed!
The only thing I did all weekend was cook dinner, shop, caught up on my DVR, somewhat packed for Florida, went shopping & got a pedicure w/ Kate & Amber.

Oh & how could I forget on Friday Ryan & I tried a new restaurant called Mugs-N-Buns. I have been craving Dog-n-Suds for a week now & I heard great things about Mugs-n-Buns so I thought I would get my coney dog craving out of the way. They have a drive up carport & indoor seating. Ryan & I decided to eat inside, we sat down next to a group of high school boys & one girl. They were are doing this Monster challenge Mug-n-Buns has, you have to eat a triple breaded tenderloin sandwich, a large family order of fries & a 32 oz rootbeer all in 30 minutes. Well to our surprise one of the high school boys (the one sitting next to us) couldn't HANDLE IT!! He threw up all over his friend, the waitress & the inside of the restaurant. OMG ... I can handle vomit but Ryan can not. I thought Ryan was going to throw up too but he didn't (thank goodness)! I have been a waitress before & I could not imagine being thrown up on! The waitress was not very happy & I felt so bad for her!! During this whole thing she said that she was a teacher & just does this a couple nights a week because she is saving to adopt a baby. AWWWW ... this broke my heart! We ate our food in a hurry & got out of there. I couldn't believe it & was glad to get out of there. I doubt we will be going back to Mug-N-Buns!

hahaha this is funny because right now we have 4 TVs in our small apartment. We have one in each bedroom & one in the front room. Recently our tv in the front room stopped working! We have had many problems with this TV & recently spent $200 fixing the lamp on it. So when it broke again I did not want to put any more money into it. So Ryan and I bought a new tv for the front room. We want to eventually fix the old one & maybe put it in the basement of our future house but as of now it is dead & in the guest bedroom. It will probably cost around $200 just to get an estimate & that doesn't even include the actual cost to repair it! LONG STORY I KNOW LOL

10 days until SUNNY FLORIDA :)
Words can not describe how excited I am to go to Florida!
We leave next Friday & we are staying for a whole week! It will be a nice change & so relaxing! We are going to the Clearwater/Madeira Beach area. Ryan's grandparents have a condo there & they are so much fun to hang out with. This year Ryan's stepbrother Taylor is coming! I'm really excited for him to join us because we get along great... we are partners in crime. Usually when Ryan & I go on vacations he goes to bed earlier and wakes up earlier so it will be fun to have Taylor there because we will go to bed late & wake up later.
