PURDUE :)

WE FOUND AN APARTMENT :) YIPPEEE WHAT A RELIEF
Here's a link if you want to take a look http://www.ntsdevelopment.com/apartment/index.php?cid=1661 Our lease starts Nov 16th but we had to give a 30 day notice at our current apt so that isn't over until Dec 5th. Ryan & I were talking and we are just going to move things periodically. He works there almost every day so we could load up his car at night then when he gets off work he can drop it over at our new place. Hopefully it all works out =) But it is the biggest relief and it just feels like a weight is lifted off my shoulders. I spent all my time looking and now I don't have to.
Now the only thing I have to do is figure out what I am going to do for a job. I applied to IUPUI and should hopefully be hearing something back in a month or so. The counselor I spoke with acted like there will be no problem for me to get in but I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch so I will wait.... patiently hehe... yea right! But then I have to figure out how I am going to pay for school. I have been looking into scholarships b/c my grades @ Ivy Tech were great so I didn't know if I would qualify for some scholarships. Also I didn't know since Ryan & I are now married if there would be more help with school instead of taking out a ton of loans :(
I have to get a job but I am going back & forth on what type.
1. part time medical job or as needed (that way I am not working m-f 8-5)
2. part time restaurant job that way I have cash coming in but will have more night classes that way I don't have to take all night time classes.
Ryan & I have been adjusting to his new job he is home a lot more ... which I like but now I am having to plan more meals. Before when it was just me I would make a pb&j or something easy but now every night we have dinner together! WHICH I LOVE!!
Ryan currently works 5:30-2:30 ish 5 days a week in Indy! I think he is having a hard time adjusting to waking up so early. He gets up at 3:40 to make it there on time! He has started to go to bed around 8:30 pm so this leaves time for me to go work out & have my own time!
So this is our life for the next month until we start our new journey in Indy!

Apt Searching
one word could sum up this title ... BLAH !!
I HATE LOOKING FOR APARTMENTS! I feel like nothing is ever what I want it to be and I wish I could just create my own. We are looking for a 2 bedroom at least 1 bathroom (not to much to ask for) washer in dryer (in unit or connections) and a place that allows dogs. I never imagined it would be this hard.
We've looked at approx 30 apt complexes and nothing scream PICK ME!! If anyone knows of any good apt complex in Indy on the Northside let me know.
I really wish we could build a house ... but as of now this is not in the cards. I would love to be debt free (like Rox) and maybe half way through school. So for now my life is consumed with apt hunting and trying to find somewhere safe!

PU vs. OSU weekend :)
This weekend the BOILERS beat the buckeyes :) YEAAA! It was a great game & the whole PU team played well. BOILER UP!!
Amber got me a ticket for the game. I love my sister xoxo
The fans rushed the field!
Ryan & I had a pretty laid back weekend! He worked of course every day but luckily we had Friday & Saturday night off. We went out to dinner both nights. (we were bad) hehe We went to La Scala on Friday night with Leah, Anthony, Amber & Duran :) I love to eat there & I have started to get the same thing every time I go there. It is a cheese & spinach ravioli MMMM... it sounds good to eat right now! The group we were with were a lot of fun. Then we went home and watched The Proposal - it was a great movie! Very funny & such a cute story! Then Saturday after the BOILERS defeated the buckeyes Ryan & I went to dinner with his Dad & Stepmom to an Indian restaurant called Khana Khazana to celebrate the holiday Diwali. I have only had Indian food one other time in my life so it was good to try alot of different foods.

Sunday was a very strange day for me... I had a lot on my to do list but really didn't feel like I got anything accomplished> :(
I did however organize my shoes but now I feel like it is too much. I put them in these containers but it takes up to much space & I think I have to figure out something else. YOU BE THE JUDGE??

Officially Fall
Wow I have been bad... I haven't updated in a while.
It feels like these last couple of weeks have been a blur. So much going on & not enough time! What can you do?
Work right now is very overwhelming. We are so busy because of the Flu season & of course the H1N1. Everyone & their brother are sick or worried about getting sick. Usually I get off around 5:30 but lately I have been staying after 6 ... it makes for a short night & an early morning! Also I think I really need a day off to do nothing. I find myself getting agitated and short & just annoyed in general. I try really hard for it not show but I think I really just need time off.
Ryan & I are trying to figure out life right now. There are so many decisions that we are starting to make for our future & I hope we are making the right ones. Only time will tell. All that we know for sure is Ryan accepted the position at Le Peep in Indy. He starts Nov 2nd and he has a 9 week training period and then he will be placed in 1 out of 6 Indy North side locations. I will be interesting for him to do something new! Le Peep looks like a good restaurant. If you want to look at the menu here is a link http://www.lepeepindy.com/menus.html
We are thinking about moving to Indy in Dec or around there. I really hope I can find a job soon! I am going to meet with IUPUI to see how long it would take me to get my bachelor degree :) This makes me very happy. I want to be an RN!!
I finally yesterday sent info to our wedding photographer for our wedding album. Most brides are waiting for their photographer to finish their wedding albums and my photographer is waiting on me! Oops :) If you want to look at our wedding pictures it is on her website www.dpi-photo.com then if you go to proofs and pick Mr. & Mrs. May you will be redirected to pictage.com and you will have to sign in.
Tomorrow I am going w/ Ry's stepmom to Indy to look at apartments around the North side of Indy and I have to take this test at St. V to see if I qualify for an interview.
Oh also I got asked to be in my friends Katelyn & Ryan's wedding as a bridesmaid =) I am so excited to share their special day with them. It will be THE wedding of 2010! I am so so excited for them & to help her plan w/ all of my "bridal knowledge" hehe

Last weekend of Sept!!
It's official Ry has a new job. He starts in the beginning of Nov. So sometime in Nov we will be moving to the capital of Indiana!
Now to figure out LIFE! haha
I have been wanting this moment for a while but for it actually to happen is kind of surreal. Don't get me wrong, I am so so excited but I just don't know what to expect. I now have to get a job & apply to IUPUI for Nursing. I am really excited to go back to school. Also we have to find somewhere to live. This will be hard we don't know if we want to live in an apt or rent or buy a house. I don't know what we are going to do. Some day soon I am going to go down and look @ places. Good thing I have a friend who is living in Indy & knows alot about the area because if not I would be lost.
To recap the weekend:
Friday was pretty uneventful! Ry & I had date night and prepared for the PU vs. ND game! We made taco dip, no bake cookies & cherry cake.
Saturday was a GREAT DAY!! We tailgated all day for the game, which didn't turn out so great. Purdue is having a really rough season so far. I love the BOILERS and will always root for them, I just hope they can start winning some games!
Then Saturday night we got some great news --- our friends Katelyn & Ryan got engaged while they were in Chicago! Ry & I are so excited for the two of them and their families to start planning a great wedding!
Sunday I bummed around the apt all day, worked out & cleaned! Then I went over to see Ryan & Kate. They stopped by on their way from Chicago to Indy & got to see her AMAZING RING!! It kept catching my eye the whole time I was there. Every time I saw it I got more in more excited! So once again Congrats to Katelyn & Ryan!
Monday I worked and it was a crazy day in the office. Not even just the normal Monday crazy - ahhh people waited all weekend for their refills- but super CRAZY! So when I got home it was nice to just hang out with Ry. We made homemade mac-n-cheese & it was mmmm good! Then I went to work out (by myself...grr...Ry). Then we had company- Amber & Landon (thee Landon hehe) came over for a little competition in Wii Bowling! I was definitely the underdog and the first game I beat Amber. The last game I WON!!! =) I am pretty for sure Amber never won & she was the one who thoughts she was the GREATEST!!

2nd interview =) <3
Ry has another interview w/ the Indy restaurant :) He had one w/ the owner yesterday. They must have liked him. 2 hrs after the interview he got a call & they wanted to set up another one the NEXT DAY!! So today he has one with the district manager!! I am so happy ... hopefully he is doing great! I will update later!!

no control =)
Yeaaa for Tuesday ... one step closer to the weekend :)
Today Ryan has an interview with an Indy Restaurant! They are actually meeting in town so Ryan doesn't have to drive to Indy & we get to spend tonight together.
Hopefully the interview goes well. I am really hoping he get a job soon! I can't help but being stressed out b/c of our life situation right now. Everything is up in the air & I HAVE NO CONTROL =) To me this is the hardest thing in the world.
So I am crossing my fingers & hoping he hears something soon.
Last night was a good night Amber (my lovely twin sister) came over & I made stirfry, cream cheese rangoon & dessert w/ bananas & choc inside a wonton wrapper - it was delicious. 3 months
This weekend has been kind of uneventful... to start out...
Friday Ry & I had date night we made steaks & baked potatoes for dinner. By we I mean Ryan hehe! He loves to cook and I let him. We love to cook together but he kind of treats me like an assistant! So I usually just let him do his thing. Then we ran some errands to finally get new thank you card for our wedding and the last supplies we needed to finally finish them! I KNOW I KNOW it is 3 months after our wedding but we have been really busy! SO TOMORROW they are going out in the mail. I am so excited. Then the only thing I have to do to finish all of the wedding stuff is meet with our photographer so we can give her photos we want in our album.
Saturday Ry worked & I went to the Purdue vs. northern Ill. w/ Amber & Sara. We usually tailgate with Sara's family! They are always a blast. Tailgating was fun but the GAME was no fun at all. I love watching the boilers but I hate hearing "fans" trash talk about specific players. They are a team... you should never single out on specific person out loud. You never know if you are sitting next to their mother, father etc... Amber & I left the game @ 1/2 time to go out and tailgate some more! It was fun just wish we could have come out with the W :)
Saturday night it was our friends surprise b-day party. we went to the party but didn't make it there for the big surprise (Ry closed @ work) so we hung out there for a while but didn't want to go to the bars... I think we are starting to get worn out of the campus bars. I just hate hugging the person next to you bc you can breathe and have to be right up to the person next to you.
Today was a really relaxing day. I went to breakfast with Amber & my gma :) I love my family!! I love being around Amber & my grandma we always laugh together and have funny stories and get to hear my grandma tell us she has espn (really she meant esp) ahhahahahhah
So hopefully this week is less busy than last week. Last Friday I was suppose to get off @ 5 but didn't end up leaving the office until 7 :( We were short on staff and I had to do a lot of extras. A lot of people are getting sick around our office so hopefully my OJ in the morning will help me not get sick :)
NEXT WEEKEND IS THE PU vs. ND game it is a night game so I am trying to get mentally prepared haahhaha :)

New Blog
Hello everyone :) Some of my friends have started to blog and I like to read theirs but I never knew if I was interesting enough to maintain a blog or would all of my blogs start to sound the same. So to say the least I am going to try this whole thing out!
To give a little bit of a background:
Ryan & I got married on June 20 of this year. For those of you out there that know us, we dated FOR ev er haha We dated for 7 years before we finally tied the knot. We basically grew up together!
I am currently working @ Clarian Arnett as a Medical Assistant for a Dr. :) I like my job and I learn new things everyday but I am ready to go back to school and make more money... who doesn't want to!!
Right now the main thing that we are focusing on is Ryan getting a job. Our whole life revolves around this. He loves his job at Christos and he has developed some great relationships not only with the servers but also the owner. It is hard but we don't see any room for advancement there. It is a family owned business so pretty much being a assistant manager might possibly be the furthest he goes.
Now we are figuring out all new things together. Like how to maintain a household, looking for new jobs and making time for each other.
