What a weekend!!

This weekend was a lot of fun! On Friday Ryan & I went to Lafayette with Archie. We stayed at Judi's house (Ryan's mom) & went to dinner at La Scala! Ben & Sara (Ben's girlfriend) met Judi, Ryan & I at the restaurant & it was a great dinner. La Scala is one of my two favorite restaurants in Lafayette so I was pumped to have some great Italian food! After dinner we all went back to Judi's to have an ice cream cake she made & it was soooo delicious! I am going to get the recipe from her & post it on here because I know lots of people will enjoy it too! It is made with ice cream sandwiches & Judi says it is really easy to make! After we were all stuffed with food & cake we all sat around the table & chatted, I had a great time! Just recently Ryan & I met Sara and I've really enjoyed our time with her. In the beginning I thought she was really quiet but I think after hanging out with her a couple times she has really opened up. I have enjoyed observing her & Ben's relationship. They really seem happy together & that makes me happy! I look forward to getting to know her better as the time goes on!

Saturday was Kyle & Taylor's wedding in Lafayette! It was such an amazing day! The wedding was very quick & the reception was a lot of fun! Taylor & Kyle were high school sweethearts & have dated forever! We all went to the same high school so it was fun getting to catch up with other wedding guest who I haven't seen in a while. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Pearl :) we hope you have a lifetime of happiness!!

Friday night after dinner! The beagles wanted to both be on Ryan's lap! Archie is on the left & Doug, Judi's beagle, is on the right! They are both tri-colored beagles but they're so different!

Last couple of weeks

Wow I've been slacking!!! It has been FOR-EV-ER since I've blogged! A lot has happened since I last blogged. Archie turned 5 years old, I can't believe we've had him for so long! It feels like yesterday when we drove all the way to OHIO to pick him up! Amber & I celebrated our 25th birthday!! Amber loves her birthday so much (she is the only person I know that celebrates her 1/2 b-day), so every year she makes me love mine too! We celebrated the whole weekend of the 20th & had a blast.

Also for those of you that don't know, I GOT INTO NURSING SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume most of you know because I shouted it from the roof tops or on facebook- same thing right? lol I am so excited! I will start in August & hopefully it will take me only 3-4 semesters. I have a meeting this month to get my schedule & get some more info about it. I can't believe I am finally going to nursing school! :) One of my dreams came true now with hard work & dedication I will move on to the next ones!

Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks I've been MIA!

Look at this yummy birthday treat for Arch =) I got this in Broad Ripple & he loved it!

Archie ate the bottom crust in one bite! I thought he was going to choke

Update =)

2 weekends ago on Saturday April 30th, I went to Taylor's Bachelorette Party! The night was planned by Katelyn & she did a great job! We had dinner at Pronto & the food was amazing! I really like Amber's food better than mine haha but I would definitely go back! After dinner we went back to the hotel to open gifts & hang out! Then we went out downtown @ Bartini's! We had a VIP section right next to the dance floor & it was a lot of fun! Congrats Taylor on your upcoming wedding!! I am so happy for you & Kyle!

Amber, Kate & I @ Pronto for dinner

Amber, Katelyn, Taylor & I @ the hotel!

Waiting on the cab- we decided to get a group shot!!

The Bride & I :)

We put fruit snacks in our purse to have at the end of the night! It was more of a joke for Amber but turned out to be a great snack! hahahaha We fed them to everyone!

Last weekend Ryan ran the One America 500 Festival Mini Marathon! I was so proud of him & happy that he finished! In high school Ryan ran sprints & hurdles so this was a big change for him to run long distance! HE DID GREAT :) My dad & a couple other friends ran the race & they all had great times too! The night before the race Judi (Ry's mom) & his brother Ben stayed the night with us. I made dinner & we had creme brulee for dessert! We loved having them stay & it was fun to hang out! We woke up early Saturday morning to drive downtown & cheer Ryan on, it was a fun experience! After the race Ryan was starving, the 2 bananas & snacks they gave him after the race did nothing for him, so we all went to Kilroys for some delicious bread sticks! Later on in the evening we went over to Katelyn & Ryan's house to sit out on the patio & have a couple cocktails. It was hilarious to watch Katelyn, Ryan & Ryan walk around! They were so stiff & you could tell they were in a little pain! I am so proud of all of them though & I hope they all do it again next year! The boys both said they won't but we will see, I think they were in pain when they said that!

Ry waiting to start the Mini :) I think he was nervous

So many people!! I couldn't believe how many runners there were

Start line :) only 13.1 miles left!

then my camera died...thank goodness for cell phone cameras

FINISHING!!!

Ryan & I after he completed the mini!! I was so proud of him! We stood in the rain & cheered him on!

My Brother Jared & Cooper (my parent's dog) on Mother's Day

Ryan's mom has these little guys right outside her bedroom window! She says they are Doug's (her Beagle) pets!! She teaches 5th grade & one of her students said " so you are telling me your pet has a pet?" lol

For Easter Ryan's mom Judi got him "fixins" for GYROS :) Ryan used to work for a Greek family so he loves a good gyro! We had dinner last night on our "patio" (I put a card table outside with a table cloth over it) & it was delicious!
